I love working in the IT industry. One of the best things about my job is the technical excellence of the people I work with. Here are some quotes that I have heard over the last two days that have inspired me to think that the people in my workplace are “In the know”.
Overheard during a discussion about quickly swapping between applications in Windows: "Alt-Tab? At the same time? It doesn’t matter anyway, that won’t work on my machine. I don’t have that program installed."
During a phone conversation: "No, no, the screen is all black… ok I’m wiggling the mouse now… yes, it’s coming up, I can see a background, and some icons… "My computer", "Network Neighbourhood"… does this mean that it’s turned on?"
