Local lady fulfills life-long ambition

A dedicated group of friends last week used their collective monies to fulfill a local girl’s life-long dream.

“Ever since I was a kid, I saw people on TV eating KFC out of a bucket, and having a good time” remarked Miss Harvey, of Strathpine. “Naturally, I then associated buckets of KFC with fun, so I have always wanted to get a bucket of KFC. It just looks like so much… fun!”

After an exaustive afternoon of partying, Miss Harvey and close friends were not in a cooking mood. As such, take-away was the logical option.

“Someone metioned pizza”, she said, “but I thought it was an opportunity that was too good to pass up. I mean, there was 8 people around – a bucket would have been perfect! Everybody agreed, so we gave them a call to see if they still made them. Apparently they’re called “barrells” now, but it’s the same thing. It’s still a bucket.”

It was only a short time later that Miss Harvey was clutching her beloved bucket of chicken, and smiling from ear to ear. “This is one of the best days of my life” she said. “Chicken out of a bucket is definately more fun. You can taste the fun – it tastes like skin!”
