Nice work, …………… !

I need to get me a new nickname. I’ve never really had a nickname where I thought, “hey, that’s a top nickname”. Last night at touch footy (where we earned a well deserved victory of 4-3), everyone was talking their nicks up. “Bender, you’ve got green hat guy”… “Watch the winger, JP“… “Nice try, Micky D!”, etc etc. But when it game to me, it was just plain old “Gerrod”.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve got nothing against my name. I mean, I used to hate it because when you met people for the first time, no-one could ever get it right. “Hi, I’m Gerrod” – “Derek?” – “No, Gerrod.” – “Greg?” – “GERROD” – “Oh right, sorry Jarred” – “Whatever”. But now that I’m the owner of gerrod.com – hey, look who’s laughing!

But still, you can’t beat a top nickname. Lisa and Angie used to call me “Topdeck” because I had dark brown hair with blond tips – that wasn’t too bad (and quite creative, I thought). Occasionally I get “G” when Kristy is talking about me to friends – also that’s what Conrad calls me because when he first met me he could never work out how to pronouce my name. The Durham’s have all sorts of wacky names for me, such as “Gerrodious”. My gaming alias is “Link” but that’s a bit too geeky to insist people call you.

So, let me know what my nickname should be!
