Things that go “bump” in the night morning

Don’t you hate it when you’ve earned a sleep-in, and you’re enjoying the rest that only a morning can bring, when you get woken up by something or someone thoughtless? Happens all the time around our place. Here’s some of my favourites -

  • That freakin’ crowBender hates it too. It is so loud. It sounds like it is sitting outside your window, but realistically it’s probably half a block away.
  • The neighbour’s phone – It sounds exactly like our old phone does, and it still gets me every time
  • The garbage truck – Admittedly this one only comes into play on Friday mornings, but for some reason they seem to service Bracken Ridge at about 5am.
  • Piano practice – I only heard this one for the first time last weekend, but clearly whoever was playing was just a beginner. Probably wouldn’t be so bad if your neighbour was Billy Joel

Tomorrow is a sleep in day. Please – no calls before 9am!
