I got to speak to Wil Anderson from The Breakfast Show on Triple J this morning! You see, Adam and Wil were giving Mary from Junee a hard time about the age gap between her and Adrian, her husband (when they got married, Mary was 43, and Adrian was 29). So I felt it my duty to call up and clarify that the standard rule of dating is:
y = (a / 2) + 7
Where:
y is the youngest age that your date may be
a is your current age
So Mary was in fact in the clear by a whole half a year. Wil sounded quite humoured to learn this law, and asked if applyed to both men and women – which of course it does, but some extra variables should be thrown in, because everybody knows that women are more mature than men. Also it’s usually impossible to find out a woman’s age. So I’m not sure what the exact formula is here, but if you have it please let me know.
Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to get on the air. I think my mistake was that I called at the start of a song, rather than at the end. Either that or I just wasn’t interesting enough. Still, I was pretty stoaked just to get through, and even more so for getting to talk to Wil! I would have thought I’d be buffered by DJ ZJ, but nope, straight through to the celebs!
