What better way to spend a long weekend than putting in a retaining wall? Mum & Dad figured that it would be a good opportunity to fix up my “crap garden”, and this was the latest idea that they had. And though I was somewhat (read “very”) discouraged thinking about the cost and the physical labour that would be involved, my tune was quickly changed after the wall started taking shape. And it’s only 1 layer high, so it’s not actually that difficult.
Anyway, we started off with the front yard -
Then we moved into the back yard -
But unfortunately we only got about 1/2 way around before it got dark.
So if there’s anyone out there who loves building retaining walls, or is really into gardening, or is just plain crazy, drop me a line and you’re more than welcome to come round and finish the job off.
I hope you settle in ok, and get used to the bugs again.
