Finally, I got a complete night’s sleep. Ahhhhh….
Yesterday at work we were greeted with some “unexpected news”, that IDT are putting on a new General Manager. We had a meeting especially for this announcement, where the new manager was introduced to us all. I thought it was a bit strange when he became very defensive of his new appointment… even more strange were a few of his quotes:
- “You can fool me once, you can fool me twice, but the third time – I’m nobody’s fool”
- “I’ve spent my last 5 years in the window dressing industry”
- “If you question my experience, I’m happy to show you my resume”
- “I’m excited by this position, even though my salary has been halved”
Not really the awe-inspiring type of things that you want to hear from your new General Manager… but whatever.
Anyway, I’m working at home today. Now, whilst that is some-what of a privilege, it is absolutely freezing in Bracken Ridge today. My trusty Casio tells me that it’s a mere 12.2 degrees celcius (up from 10 degrees when I first came into the office). If it doesn’t get warmer soon I think I’ll have to go and buy a heater. My fingers are all frozen, which makes it very difficult to type!
