Don’t Panic!

After meeting Fiona from the Convention Centre to discuss wedding related matters, Kristy and I headed over to West End to eat at Thai Panic. It’s a restaurant that has been on Kristy’s Must Eat At list for some time now.

We got there around 7pm, and I was a bit surprised to see the place so empty – thought that it couldn’t be a good sign. (Turns out West Endians like late meals, as the place filled up around 7:45pm). When the menus came out, I was again a bit surprised at some of the prices – $4.90 for 2 spring rolls?! We decided we’d skip the entreĆ© and go straight to the main course. Between us, we ordered a Massaman Curry, a stir-fry dish, and rice for 2.

Boy were we impressed by the service speed! It was literally about 5 minutes after ordering that the dishes came out, steaming hot, and absolutely delicious. The servings sizes were very generous, so we were both porked afterwards. And as we had the benefit of the entertainment book, the meal was only just over $20. Excellent! rating: 7/10.
