Updates!

No doubt you’ll all be pleased to know that gerrod.com has undergone some updates:

• I’m now using an OR Mapping Framework to automatically handle my data access layer. This has significantly reduced the amount of code I have to write to communicate with the database!
• The “Something to Read” section is now powered by the database (rather than the hard-coded links that they were before). This (in theory) will lead to much quicker updates for things to read (notice there’s 5 new ones for you right now!)

Hopefully these updates lead to a more fulfilling browsing experience. Though I have done a lot of testing with this new framework, I may have missed a few things – so if you encounter any problems, please let me know.
