Boy this has been a busy weekend – but oh-so socially fulfilling!
Unfortunately, with Bender away from work at the moment, things have been super busy; which meant part of my weekend was spent catching up on things. But after a few hours staring at the screen I had to get out of the house – so I went and voted, then headed off to Stacey’s house to help fix her computer issues. (Woohoo, clemmo.com is back on the air!) I was lucky enough to go to the polling booths for a second time that day, to watch Stace number all the boxes from 1 to 50…
Saturday night was spent eating some wicked curries at Punjabi Palace at West End, in celebration of Pat’s birthday. Man, he is one popular dude – there was about 40 people there! Of course it’s no wonder – everybody thinks Pat is tops, especially his sister Suzanne who was nice enough to save Kristy and I a couple of premium A-Reserve seats in the middle of the table.
Today it was adventure day! Kristy and I drove down to Kingscliff where Bender and Michelle have been holidaying all week. The holiday is definitely paying off for them, as they both looked super relaxed (compared to me – I was rather stressed that I couldn’t find the entrace to their unit…) After lunch at the pub, we headed to Cabarita to check out the view from the point and take some nice happy snaps. Then it was back to the unit for a swim in the freezing cold river, before Kristy and I whipped up some pasta for dinner.
After saying our goodbyes, we stopped in to Monkey’s shack to pick up Episode 3 of Survivor (thanks again Monks!), before making our final stop at Mum & Dad’s (Thomas) for a catch up and some cake. Finally it was home-time, and of course there’s more work to be done! But it’s looking good for the moment, I think any other issues can wait until the morning to be solved. Only 1 more thing to do – go to bed. Goodnight!

Phew – I’m exhausted just reading about it. Add in to that jam-packed weekend a bridesmaids dress fitting, 1950′s themed bridal shower and a facial and you’ll see why I’m really looking forward to a holiday.

How convenient – we fly out for our honeymoon in just 20 days …
Is it legal to take photos of people voting? I would have thought electoral officers would have bashed you up for bringing out a camera at a secret ballot.
Hmm… that’s a good point Dr E. But then again, given that Mavis – the person in charge – was about 62, and she looked like a few energetic walks wouldn’t have gone astray, I’m sure I could have taken her if she was to challenge me
