Low key? You call this low key?

24

In a month where we are, quite naturally, preoccupied with the wedding (refer to countdown timer) it seemed reasonable that my birthday be a ‘low key’ affair. After all, other people had to keep reminding me I was having one – it wasn’t even on my radar (amazing as that may sound to my brother who knows just how annoying my count down excitement can be).

Gerrod told me he had dinner organised last night and would send someone to collect me. Sure enough, just after 7pm Ben and the lovely Spechelle arrived at my door to deliver me to the mystery destination – the batcave – home of gerrod.com. There, Gerrod was waiting with a pyrotechnics display (ok, candles).

A big thank you to Gerrod and Spechelle for cooking me my ultimate dinner: risotto, lamb roast, and chocolate cake. It was fantastic! I’m gonna have a ‘low key’ birthday every year!
