You’ve all heard stories, and perhaps seen for yourself, couples who go to the trouble of looking their best for their wedding day then promptly let themselves go. It’s such a pressing social issue that even Dr Phil has something to say about it.

Well, in completely unrelated news, Team Thomas has joined the local YMCA. We’re trying to work out at least three days a week and have just added swimming to our fitness regime.

The gym is really awesome and spans about 7 floors. They’ve got new state-of-the-art equipment, multiple fitness studios, two swimming pools, a basketball/volleyball court, and an indoor running track. To keep you motivated, you can also surf the internet or watch TV whilst you’re peddlin’ your (exercise) treddlie! And talk about the most impressive locker rooms we’ve ever seen…

Soap dispensers in the showers. Steam room. Sauna. Togs spinner-outerer (to spin the water out of your swimmers). They’ve thought of everything, right down to a plastic bag dispenser with bags to carry your togs home in.

It’s enough to make exercising fun! Well… almost.

I think my <a href="http://www.fitnessfirst.com.au/" target="_blank">brother’s gym</a> is pretty well equiped, so I think that it was just our local <a href="http://zesthealthclubs.com.au" target="_Blank">Zest</a> that didn’t stack up!

Yeah fitness first is pretty good, but no websurfing capabilities on any of the machines, and no tog spinner-outerer.
