Everyone gets caught up with life sometimes, and it’s easy to get lost in a simple routine… wake up, go to work, come home, and go to bed, then count the days until the weekend before going to sleep. In fact, this basically covers life, no matter where you are in the world – until you take a moment to step back and appreciate your surroundings.
For Kristy and I, it’s pretty easy to get a swift blow of reality just by flicking on the TV. We recorded the latest episode of The Apprentice and only got around to watching it tonight. It felt so strange to watch all the scenes from the show – so much of it is now our home turf! In fact, part of the episode was filmed very close to our apartment – and even closer to my work! (If you saw the episode (mobile business task) – when they meet at Trump World Tower, there’s a shot of the UN in the background – and they’re about 5 streets from our place… I walk past it every day!).
Of course, with signs like the one pictured out the front of Trump Tower on 5th Avenue, it’s hard to forget that so many TV shows are filmed here in New York. Here! In New York! Did I just say that?! We’re really here!
What a mind trip!

When are you putting your deposit on a unit in Trump World Tower. The upper floor ones seem quite nice
Yes, they do look pretty awesome – but I shudder to think how much they’re "worth"!
