As you’ve no doubt read on Stickfly, I surprised Ben & Spesh by getting a couple of days off work to spend with them. Oh the plans were a-plenty, it was going to be great!
However, on Tuesday, things started going amiss when I woke up with somewhat of a headache. By Wednesday I was hitting up the cold-and-flu tablets like there was no tomorrow. So Thursday morning I woke up feeling average, but was determined to spend the day having fun. And though we all had a great day, by the evening I just crashed.
Today I’ve felt shocking all day. All the classic symptoms – aches and pains, runny nose, headache, slight fever – nothing that I haven’t had before. But why oh why did it have to happen today? And how come I keep getting sick? Something in this city doesn’t agree with me. I’m already taking as many home remedies that have been recommended to me (except Sustagen, sorry Mum but we still can’t find it), so I don’t know if there’s anything else I can do. I’m starting to think that my body is aware that we don’t have health insurance and as some kind of twisted prank, it’s getting all of my sickness out of the way before we can go and see a doctor.
Oh well. At least I found a couple of interesting new links – the first being a fairly comprehensive list of complaints, their causes and some suggested remedies. The second was a link to the trailer for Star Wars – Episode III. You can find them both in the “Essential Reading” section.
