Well, we finally got our coffee machine. We bought a refurbished machine off eBay, as it was better for our budget, and it came with all the usual warranties. After a terribly long 2 week delivery time (it shipped from the west coast!), it finally arrived on Friday night.
After eagerly purchasing some Illy beans (both regular and decaf), it was time to test out our new baby. We flicked it on, it warmed up, and the indicators told us it was good to go. Flick the brew switch…. nothing. Steam knob…. nothing. Some-ting-wong….
Time to check the manual (you know that’s always the last resort). Hmmm… nothing there, apparently things should work. How come the lights won’t turn on and off? Why has the machine suddenly lost all it’s heat? It looks to me like the power supply has busted. Not happy Jan!
So I’ve sent a rather disgruntled e-mail to the chick that we got the machine from, who has sent me back a number for someone who will either be able to “fix it over the phone, or replace it immediately”. I’ll give them a call later today, but I don’t expect they’ll be working on Sundays. So in the meantime… we’re still without coffee…
