The Patman (think Batman tune) is in town and was kind enough to spend today with us! In addition to his every cheery smile he also brought with him gifts from afar – Tim Tams, Rexona deodorant (on request), Caramello Koalas, Sustagen and lollies! (Thanks also to Pat’s big sister Suz who no doubt was instrumental in the shopping process!)
We started the day by enjoying a cup of coffee at the new and improved Joe’s coffee shop on East 13th Street with Pat and our new Aussie friends Lucy and Michael. Lucy is the cousin of a workmate of mine back home and is new to NYC as well.
Afterwards we wandered through the Village, meandered down the Hudson River where locals were rollerblading, skate boarding, jogging and sun baking, enjoyed some very authentic mexican quesadillas/tamales/nachos, visited ground zero, bought the cheapest Nike socks in town at Century 21, (pausing for breath), rambled through Central park and finally sauntered down 5th Avenue, experimenting with photography all the way.

Man, although I said that I didn’t have to go see all the touristy things, we sure hit a lot of them yesterday. I had an awesome time guys walking around the streets of Manhattan and it was perfect weather for it too! Awesome cuppa from Joe’s too! Glad I could bring a little bit of Oz out to you guys too.
