Happy Birthday Carrie!

Yesterday was Carrie’s birthday – so happy birthday Carrie! (I know I’m a day late writing this up on blog, but I did manage to get her birthday wishes to her on time yesterday afternoon). To celebrate, C&C went to Robert De Niro’s restaurant for dinner, whilst Kristy and I baby-sat the party pie. Best of all I got to chat to Sister Suz, who happened to call while we were there. Bonus!

So today is Friday, and I have a boring day of writing boring code ahead of me. Since we don’t use an object mapper at work, I’ll be hand coding all the marshelling of parameters in and out of stored procedures. For the non-geeks out there, think Bart Simpson writing lines on the blackboard – it’s very repetitve monkey work. Yuk!

Tonight, Kristy and I are getting the Chinatown bus to Boston for the weekend. I’m keen to check out the seafood which they’re so well known for. Also I hope to pick up a Harvard degree while we’re there, but I haven’t decided what to major in yet. Extra thanks to our friend Justin for getting us a wicked rate at The Marriott :-) .
