We’re feeling pretty hot and it’s no wonder why. According to weather.com, the ‘feels like’ temperature in our neighbourhood is 41 degrees.

Each night the news report include an update on how many people have died in heat related circumstances. It’s pretty tragic stuff.

On a lighter note, it’s wonderful to be welcomed in from the heat by a friendly doorman like Joey. When he sees me coming he jumps up, throws the door open, smiles and says, “Come in! Come in out of the oven!”

You guys complain when its snowing, and complain when its hot …. how can Mother Nature make you happy ? :)

wow! so this joey the doorman actually sits on the steps all day long, just opening the door for people??? bet he gets alot of reading done!!!

He sits in the foyer (air-conditioned, watches surveillance cameras around the building, announces visitors, stops intruders, signs for our deliveries (groceries, dry-cleaning, FedEx) and does little errands for tenants. When he’s off duty he walks peoples dogs for extra cash!<br><br>I never see this guy sitting still. If he sees me coming down the street with lots of parcels he either runs out to help me, or races in and pushes the elevator buttons for me. What a legend!

Well here in Vegas it doesn’t feel like 41, it is 41! All I can say is it feels a touch warm!
