I’ve got a bit of a fascination with penguins so seeing them today at the Central Park Zoo was a real treat! There must have been at least 30 of the suited little critters in the enclosure, some nesting, some swimming and some just waddling about. I had no idea they could swim so fast and they get out of the water by swimming towards the edge at hyperspeed then rocketing up and out. Way cool!
We also saw polar bears, red pandas, sea lions, sea otters, snow monkeys and lots of tropical rainforest creatures including blue poison dart frogs. Definitely worth the $6 admission fee!
One of the best attractions was marked on the map as ‘seasonal exhibit’. When we arrived at that location we saw a large family of homo sapiens picknicking on the grass. Hmmm. Probably should have taken a picture for you but they weren’t well fenced and looked a bit dangerous.

Central Park must have sooooo many things to look at. Can’t wait till we’re able to come over and see it for ourselves.
Yeah! I’m pretty sure there are still things hiding in there I haven’t discovered yet! For instance, I hear there’s a second ice rink.
