After a nightmare trip from LAX (due to some dodgy wiring on their plane), MC and Nay finally arrived in New York at 5:45 AM Saturday morning. Needless to say, we had a sleep in after that, and headed out around 10 AM for the beginning of the Cotton’s New York Adventure!

Our first stop was downtown at Ground Zero, and then we popped into Century 21 for some shopping. Thankfully, Nathan and I kept control of the women, and we managed to get out of there in under an hour. While in the district, we thought we may as well head over to Wall Street, to make a bid at the stock exchange, see where George Washington was inaugurated, and to ride the Wall Street bull (man, what a crowd down there!).
By that time we were feeling rather peckish, so we popped over to Ray’s Pizza in Greenwich Village for the all American slice. Nathan and I polished off two of those babies, Kristy managed to put away 1, but MC was defeated by her single slice. We all managed to find room for a Mr Softie ice cream a bit later, though! Day 1 was finished off with a quick stroll through Times Square (again, the crowds!). We popped in to Toys ‘R Us for a bathroom stop, and were all quite impressed with the Lego replicas of the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, and the Chrysler Building.

After dinner last night we headed back up to our “patio” to eat our chocolate dessert. From up there, it’s not hard to see why people call this The Greatest City in the World.

Sounds like you welcomed MC and Nat in the best possible way – with loads of NY’s finest food.

I just wish we could have enjoyed the roof top view.

Hey Bender – if only we knew about it when you were here! I guess that just means you’ll have to come back

Cottons – I’ll get the kids to send some photos. Who is the "J" for?
Where is the blog? It seems every other visitor to NY has had one!
Actually Nay has a blog, but he doesn’t update it too often.
