There was nothing particularly accidental about us visiting Serendipity III last night for dessert with the Craig, Carrie and Zach. We’ve been talking about going there since our first week here!
Since being featured in the John Cusack film of the same name and reviewed on Oprah (or so I’m told) the place has become popular. Incredibly popular. You can’t make reservations and when you turn up at 8pm on a Tuesday night expecting quick service you encounter…. a two and a half hour wait??? Tell ‘em he’s dreaming.
Lucky for us, Dylan’s Candy Bar is just down the street and offers gigantic sundaes and a fun atmosphere. Unlucky for us, the sundaes were double the size pictured and defeated us all. Even with young Zach’s help we were unable to finish our treats!
