On the weekends, there’s a whole bunch of artists trying to flog their wares outside The Met. They’re obviously targetted mainly at tourists, but now that we’ve been here for a while and can identify quite closely with a lot of the scenes from New York that are pictured, the art takes on a whole new meaning.
Anyway, the 4 of us found ourselves up there again yesterday morning, and a watercolour print from Central Park particularly caught my eye. Kristy and I flicked through the other offerings from the lady, and found another print that we liked – this one of the Wall Street Bull. So, we’re now the proud owners of local art – fantastic souvineers from our time in New York, and fantastically modelled here by Racey.
