This weekend seems to have flown past, and waking up this morning knowing I had to face work was no easy task!
Craig and Carrie have some friends – Malcolm and Lisa – over from Australia at the moment; the purpose of their trip was they came to get married in Central Park on Saturday. Since C&C were the official witnesses, Craig had asked if I’d be the photographer! Of course I was happy too, so my photography career is off to a flying start. Clearly I need to get myself a digital SLR though!
After a Chipotle dinner, Kristy and I headed up to The Music Factory for more photo talk; this time, Craig was showing us through the photos from their recent trip to Spain. And of course, seeing all the beautiful culture from Europe, one can’t help but want to travel!
On Sunday, a massive party of Team Thomas, Team Pearson, Team Webb, Team Hartog, and Team JAL, headed out to the Bronx Zoo; we all wanted to see it before Autumn becomes much more like Winter. This would have to be the biggest zoo I’ve ever been too, and they had an amazing assorment of animals. Some of our favourites were the lazy polar bear, tigers, lions, elephants, giraffes, monkeys, sea lions, and gorillas!
The only downside of a zoo that big is that we were all completely worn out by the time we left, so of course no-one was up to cooking dinner. Instead, Team Thomas ate with Team JAL (Jason & Louise) at a local mexican place called Blockheads; it was pretty good, but no Chipotle. We polished off our evening back at our place with a decaf, and by introducing Jason and Louise to Lost; can you believe they hadn’t got into it yet?!
