This week I had the pleasure of catching up with Lyn, her husband Dave and son Steve. And who is Lyn, you might ask? She’s my primary school teacher of course!
In a clear demonstration that “it’s a small world after all”, our chum Leanne went on prac teaching this semester and found herself being supervised by Lyn. They got talking and discovered that Lyn was planning to holiday in New York and that I currently live here.
Lyn and I were both quite excited to meet and found one another unchanged by the thirteen years or so that have passed. Thought it felt natural to me, it must be strange for teachers to see their students all grown up (if you actually believe I’ve reached that point).
Today they’re off to LA for a few days before heading home. It was great seeing you all!
I hope you settle in ok, and get used to the bugs again.
