A visit from the Cookes

It seems that whenever we get together with the Cookes, it’s destined to rain. From Friday to Sunday this week, we have been blessed with their company – their first time in New York! But unfortunately after such a clear weekend last week, we’ve been plagued with gloomy weather and rain since Friday. At least it’s been good news so far for the Cookes, who are waiting anxiously to see if Hurricane Wilma is going to whack the Florida coastline or not.

Sam and Dani on the Statue of Liberty

We’ve been making the most of our time anyway, and so far have covered The Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Times Square, NoHo/SoHo, Chinatown, 5th Avenue and more. We’ve also indulged in some very tasty meals including giant sandwiches at Carnegie Deli, some New York pizza, Ess-a-Bagel and – of course – Chipotle!

We have 1 day left of their visit (time goes so fast!), so of course we’ll be cramming as much as we can into it. We’re just hoping that the rain holds off so we can catch some rays instead!

That’s a great photo of Sam & Dani. Say hello to the Cookes from me (aka Mila!) & Jason.

Thanks Michelle! The new camera is fantastic, but it’s even better when you’ve got 2 willing models to photograph :-)
