Time is not on my side.

Holy moly, things have been busy. With Kristy on night shift this week, there’s been no-one at home to remind me to leave work. (Also with no-one to go home to, there’s less inspiration). Consequently, I’ve been staying back until about 7:30 PM every night! Last night was the worst, I didn’t leave until about 8:15 PM, so by the time I came home, finished a project for the Cookes and then went to the gym, it was 11 PM before I was eating dinner!

Of course that takes its toll pretty quickly; I didn’t wake up until 8:30 AM this morning, and every day the apartment is looking more and more like the victim of a bombing. Oh well! Starting Tuesday next week (1st Nov) I’m on 2 weeks (unpaid) leave from work. Long story short, it’s basically because I have to break my contract so that I don’t rack up continuous service. So whilst not having the cashola coming in will be bad, it will be a role reversal for us – I’ll be the stay at home wife while Kristy husbands it up at work! Truth be told, I’m quite looking forward to it. Lets see if this stay-at-home thing is as hard as it’s cracked up to be!

learn to cook!!! It’s great therapy. and yummy too. Not to mention a cheap hobbie to pass the time away. I’m sure K would be impressed with this suggestion.

I thought that Gerry was already a great cook. But can he iron?
