From what people are saying, the whole northern hemisphere has been hit by a cold snap in the last few days. Here in New York, there was a 20 degree drop in temperature from yesterday to today – and I’m talking degrees Celcius here. Yes, 20 degrees! Temperatures for tonight and tomorrow are hovering either side of zero. Brrr!
Naturally, outdoor coldness requires indoor entertainment, and with this in mind Kristy and I bought ourselves a puzzle when we visited Top of the Rock. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now that we’ve finished the border, we’re kind-of stuck.
See, the whole thing is in black and white, so there’s not too many distinguishing features. Especially in the sky region, where one cloudless area looks identical to the next cloudless area. And, as Kristy put it, now that we’ve started it (and it takes up most of our coffee table), we feel compelled to finish it! And yet no matter how much I stare at it, the pieces just don’t seem to magically align themselves like I hoped they would.
Where’s Leanne Cotton when you need her?

If we hosted a puzzle party, do you think people would come?
