As Racey so kindly pointed out, nothing further has been mentioned of the Christmas Photo competition. This is because we don’t have enough entries yet! I’ve decided there are a few possible reasons for this:
- Heaps of people are on holidays at the moment, hence not reading blogs, hence not entering competitions on blogs;
- Most people took their best Christmas photos on Christmas day, but didn’t have time to submit them;
- We’ve earned a reputation for distributing horrible prizes;
- Far fewer people have a digital camera than I had initally estimated;
- Nobody loves us since we moved to New York.
To counter the first two points, we’ve decided to extend the submission deadline until the 4th of January – that’s next Wednesday. To counter the third point, let me assure you that we’re giving out a great prize (well we think so, at least!).
As for point number four, well I guess there’s not much I can do about that, except recommend that if you don’t have a digital camera, do yourself a favour and go and get one! I’d highly recommend the Canon PowerShot SDxx0 range in compact cameras, or the Canon EOS range of digital SLR cameras.
Not much I can do about the last point, but I sure hope that’s not the problem!

Yayyyy. I so got caught up in the whole travelling, packing, buying and wrapping last minute pressies that regretfully I didnt have a chance to get my entry in. Glad the entry date is extended. And of course we still love you guys, even if you do live half the world away

That’s a good point G – when do we get to see what the competition is offering? Before I put in my second submission I would like to know what I up against.
