Maybe I should eat less Chipotle?

I didn’t mean to have Chipotle for lunch today. I had actually set out to get a Pho from a Vietnamese joint on 44th. Turns out the “joint” is in fact a restaurant, and it’s uber-expensive, so I just kept on walking. There’s too many food options around the place, so I settled on Chipotle.

Anyway, there I was, about to order a vegetarian burrito for the first time ever, but the thought of all those black beans (or any black beans really) discouraged me, and I went with the old faithful Chicken Fajita.

Maybe it was because I politely said “thank-you!” to the girl that wrapped my fajita (at which point she looked at me in a fashion that suggested she didn’t hear that phrase very often, and with a smile she replied “you’re welcome!”); maybe it’s because wifey and I had Chipotle for lunch yesterday as well; but today’s burrito was free. The nice fajita wrapping girl just said, “you know what, this one is on the house, you’re a regular customer”.

Should’ve got guacamole.

According to economists, there is no free lunch, but I wouldn’t be complaining if you were offered one.
