Where does the time go?!

Holy moly, time just flies when you’re on holidays! Here’s a really quick update of what we’ve been doing so far:

• To celebrate Ben’s bucks on Saturday, the boys headed out to Merthyr Bowls club for some barefoot bowls, and then to the Brekky Creek Hotel for steaks and beer off the wood.
• After a lazy Sunday, Lou and Steve put on a killer barbeque for us all at their Newstead Pad (see below).
• On Monday, we enjoyed our picnic in the park. We were delighted with all the people that showed up – thanks everyone! We loved seeing so many of our friends gathered in the same place, and as always it was fantastic to catch up with everyone. If only we had more time!
• Monday night, we finally got to meet our first nephew Owen, after looking forward to it for the last 10 months. What a lovely little fella! He took a while to warm to us but Kristy and I both got some cuddles before the night was out. To top things off, Mum H cooked a killer roast pork, and topped it off with a cheesecake. Yummo!
• On Tuesday, Bender and I headed into the city to check out the new shops. Tuesday night, Ben and Michelle’s bridal party had a “practice dinner” at Eve’s restaurant – the venue for the reception. The food was delicious!
• Today (Wednesday) has been all about indulgence. To start off, Kristy and I took Ben and Michelle for massages at Rainesforest. Then it was over to Lonestar for cheesy fries with Paul and Michelle. And tonight, Ian is putting on an Italian feast for us all.

Tomorrow: fasting. Well, I doubt it, but the world is full of good intentions.
