For tonight’s indulgence, wifey and I headed up to Dylan’s Candy Bar for one of their legendary sundaes. Unfortunately, we arrived at 9:40pm, they close at 10pm, and there were at least 15 people in the line in front of us. So we gave it a miss, and headed home.
On the walk back, we passed Serendipity 3 and considered (well, at least I considered) paying them a visit instead – to order something off their world famous dessert menu. As normal, the line was out the door – so we gave that one a miss too.
We’ll be going back to at least one of them with Lou and Steve, when they visit us in August.
On the way home, wifey and I were discussing what the voice of a dog named “Rufus” would sound like. Kristy thought he’d be a fairly level headed guy, slight English accent, not too analytical. Personally, I thought he’d be a rather big fella, and slow talking – like a polar bear with alzheimer’s. Kristy pointed out that “slow talking” made him sound dopey, and that was a silly assumption – I mean, I haven’t even met Rufus. It was a fair call, really.

I reckon Rufus would sound a little like Stephan Hawking… you know with the 1980′s hardware robot voice?
