It’s raining in New York. In fact, it’s been raining on and off for the last few days. This is the first time since we’ve been here that we’ve actually seen (and heard!) a thunder storm. It has all the usual features of a thunderstorm – thunder, lightning – but it has nothing on a good old fashioned Queensland storm. Just no excitement!
OK, so the image doesn’t really show that it’s wet, so I guess you’ll just have to take my word for it. Anyway, the rain has caused a bit of a traffic jam outside on 1st Avenue, which means tooting and sirens for the next few hours. I guess it’s lucky for Jason and Kellie that they left yesterday (sniff, sniff!) otherwise there’d be no sleep for them tonight.
On another note, what’s with everyone buying Macbooks?
Well the street looks pretty clean and shiny but so too do the cars. What sort of rain? Nice heavy downpours or just irritating drizzle?
Big, heavy downpours. At times, the rain was so thick I couldn’t see more than about 5 metres out of my office window.
It was a pretty decent rain really – flash floods and all!
My lightning photos didn’t turn out real good, but then I’d already had a Mai Tai or two
Back in Bleak City now – you’ll be pleased to know it was a lovely 40F and foggy on arival at Melbourne Airport…..
