One of the few things that Jo hadn’t yet crossed off her list was a visit to a deli to have a massive sandwich. Admittedly, it’s probably not something that was on her list in the first place, but I insisted that it should be, and so off to Carnegie Deli we trucked.
Instead of my usual “hot pastrami on rye”, I decided to branch out a bit and grab the Woody Allen instead. It was described as “lotsa corned beef plus lotsa pastrami”, so I figured it would be pretty similar to my regular sandwich, but with a mix of meats insteads.
Well, it turns out I was wrong. It was like my regular sandwich but with another sandwich stacked on top of it! Holy cow, there was no way I was picking that baby up. Instead, I managed to plow my way through half of it with a knife and fork, then I swapped out my second half for some of Kristy and Jo’s roast beef (which instantly became my new favourite – so tender!)
The best (or should that be, “only good”) thing about eating a pat-load of meat is that afterwards, even though you’re full, you don’t have the “loaded up on carbs crash”. We were firing on all fours for the rest of the day! Still, I don’t think we’ll be going back too quickly…

Oh WOW!
Does that even count as a sandwich? More like a whole lotta meat with bread on the side.
