Farewell, New York…

After two-and-a-half wonderful years of living in the big apple, Kristy and I are packing our bags and moving on. We both finish up at work on the 11th of May (next Friday), then we’ll be travelling for a while, concluding with a trans-Atlantic flight to our next home city – ye old London Town. May is going to be a very big month!

Leaving New York was a very difficult decision – especially for me – but we feel as though the time is right to move on. So, here’s looking forward to the next part of this adventure we call life!

Wow and I was so about to ask :) I can imagine that that must have been a very tough decision for you guys (New York is my favouritest place!)

Meanwhile it’s gonna really sux not being able to say “Gerrod and Kristy, our friends who are currently living in New York…”

Hope you guys enjoy the last week – paint the town red :)

Awesome news guys! New York must have been an amazing experience, had to pack an entire country into one city so much to see so much to do..and now off to London, where the meaning of culinary delight is soggy fish/chips. The guys news is that the will at least understand sarcasm…if there is any left…

If your still in sunny NY on May 21 you can catch Damien Rice playing; or of course u could always catch him in UK on tour this year…unfortunately AU misses out :(

Hmm, I guess that means we won’t be able to visit you in NY when we head to Canada next year…oh well, London, here we come!

But I also agree with Lou – it’s cool to say ‘our friends in NY, who work for the UN’ !!! Ahhh….

Hi Gerrod,
You must realize that this is new territory for me. This must be the first time ever I post a message/comment on a website – does that officially make me a blogger??? Anyway, it is highly appropriate that I should communicate with you in this ‘modern fashion’ as your main contribution in our office has always been to move us along into the 21st century! It’s been a tremendous priviledge working with you. You are not only very competent in what you are doing, but also a fun colleague to work with. I am sorry I couldn’t make it to your farewell, but as I was “in charge” of the office that day, it just turned out to be a very “charged” day. I certainly wish you all the best for your professional future. If at any point you feel tempted to come back – you know where to find us!! Enjoy the Mexico trip.
Stefan

Thanks very much for the well wishes, everyone!

Stefan, yes you can officially consider yourself a blogger now! And it was a pity you couldn’t make it to the party – but to see what you’ve missed, check out the photo album!
