First English haircut

Mohawked!

I’ve been Englified! And I may have made that word up!

It seems as though haircuts starting with “M” are all the rage over here, so there’s lots of people with mullets and mohawks. Today I got my first haircut since I shaved my head three months ago so now I’m part of the club. The hairdresser – Rodrigo – kept telling me he was going to give cut it in a “soft moheikan” style, but I couldn’t really understand what he was saying through his thick Spanish accent.

But overall it was a fairly happy experience. One complaint I always held about New York is that hairdressers have no sense of fashion – no matter who you see or what you ask for, you get a “professional business look” which really doesn’t float my boat. So I was glad to once again have my hair cut by someone with a bit of style!
