When I opened the curtains this morning, there was this really bright light shining in my eyes. Worse still, I could see this strange, blue tinge to the sky when I looked up. What on earth is it? I’m used to looking up and seeing a lovely monotone grey, usually with drops of water being flung at me at the same time. This sight is just freaking me out! I must be still asleep, and still dreaming…
Oh, and for the record, I had Nandos last night for the first time. Not the first time ever – we had them in Australia – but the first time since I’ve been here. It’s delicious! That peri-peri stuff is just awesome!
And while I’m talking about food, I was stoked to find a local version of Chipotle over here, called Daddy Donkey Mexican Grill. That is, I was stoked until I tried it – it doesn’t even come close to Chipotle on taste! It’s quite clear that someone has been to the states, seen how fantastic Chipotle is, and tried to rip them off, but I really think they should have spent more time perfecting their recipes.
Still, there’s a Donkey just around the corner from my work, which is much closer than New York if I’m in desperate need of a burro.
