After a brief downtime due to “insufficient disk space”, gerrod.com is back online. Don’t blame me, blame the web hosts!

Kristy is away tonight partying with her friends from work, so I became an honorary German, and went to the pub with Nick and his sister Eva (et al) to watch my temporary “home country” defeat Portugal in the Euro Cup. It was actually a bit of a hard call for me – after all, Portugal did give us Nandos – but in the end I was glad I was on the side of the Volkswagen, as Germany came home 3 goals to 2.

Our venue for the evening was the “Famous” 3 Kings pub at West Kensington. I’d not been there before (nor had I ever heard of it, so it can’t be that famous!) but overall I was quite impressed. Their food was delicious, and great value, and they have a foosball table! And apparently they’re known for showing international sports – so I wonder if they’ll be showing the State of Origin final in a couple of weeks….

I think South Africa gave us Nandos. But I wouldn’t start supporting their sporting teams.

Yes, Nandos is indeed South African. Would you believe it!

Nandos are from SA?! Who’d have thought?!
