Continuing on the theme of birthday presents; John furnished my PS3 with Buzz!. It’s a quiz show type of game that you play on the PS3. Best of all – you can play it four players at once!
The characters are pretty hilarious, and you can make them all do various actions whilst they’re standing idle by pressing the different buttons on the controller. My favourite character is the mime; Julian prefers Dr Doom, whilst the ladies go for… well, the ladies! Makes sense, I guess.
The action has been very heated for most games, though Shelley always seems to take the tactic of losing on purpose, just so that she gets to choose the category in every round. Man, the number of times we’ve done the Science and Technology questions…
The game comes with four custom buzz controllers, each with a huge red buzzer at the top, just to help you feel like you’re really there.
It’s fantastic family fun, and you can even play against other “families” online – so all you PS3 owners out there, get your Buzz on, and challange us! (Many thanks, John!)

One of our friends got that for his birthday from his wifey with 8 controllers. It’s had a little bit of a workout since he got it in Sept. What a great game!
