Box Hill

One reason that we wanted to get a car was to be able to take spontaneous day trips on the weekend. So on Sunday we did exactly that, and headed out to Box Hill in Surrey, for a picnic and a walk.

Box Hill walk

The forest had lots of different paths for us to walk along, all winding into each other and ending up on top of a lovely big hill with a great view back out over the valley.

We also noticed that blackberries were out in bloom. Casting aside the lessons we learned from watching Into the Wild (twice!), we tried our luck and ate a few. They were deliciously sweet – and so far, no deaths!

What an awesome way to spend a gorgeous Sunday!
