On Friday night, we visited Al and Becs at their lovely new house in Petts Wood. Traffic was horrendous – I guess there’s disadvantages to having a car, after all (not to mention the outlandish price we had to pay for the service earlier that day; but that’s a whole other story). Anyway, we didn’t end up getting there until about 8:30 PM, at which point Al had a delicious home-made chinese dinner ready to roll! After a bit of xbox (rock band, yeah!) and some cards, it was 2 AM, and we headed to bed.
Saturday was an absolutely gorgeous day, so after pancakes for breakfast, we took a walk around Sparrow Wood – a huge nature reserve type area, almost directly in their backyard. I just wish I had a mountain bike!
