A big Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s (and Dad’s to be, in my case!) out there! It’s been wonderful to be back in Australia to be able to actually celebrate this year with our Dads in person!
Truth be told, it was more of a Father’s weekend for the Thomas family, as we celebrated for Dad Thomas senior on Saturday morning, with breakfast at Brother Espresso‘s new location in Fortitude Valley.
It’s a much bigger store than their Margaret Street location, and since it includes a full kitchen, they’ve expanded on their meal offerings. I can highly recommend the scrambled eggs with roma tomatos and chorizo!
Breakfast outings aren’t the best for Mom and Dad since they’re both ridiculously early risers hence they like eating early – but I think they managed to enjoy themselves, anyway.

Today, being actual Father’s Day, we trolleyed out to Strathpine for lunch with the Harvey/Vernon clan. We enjoyed a roast lunch and lemon meringue pie with Kristy’s family, but completely forgot to take any photos!
