Just when we almost had everything in order in our house, our stuff arrives from the UK and throws it all back into disarray!
Of course, this is realistically very good news, because this is all stuff that we put some thought into keeping before we shipped it; as opposed to much of the stuff that we found in the boxes that we left in Australia.
We’ve unpacked about three quarters of the stuff so far, and for the most part, everything seems relatively unscathed. Our coffee machine is shiny, the media centre PC is already connected and installing updates, and the PS3 has taken its rightful place in our entertainment unit. There’s only one thing missing, and unfortunately it’s a fairly major one.
Yes, this is rather disastrous news, I can tell you. Apparently the box that the TV is in did arrive in Brisbane. But it seems as though the company that delivers the goods to our house picked up “Box #2 for Ms Harney”, instead of for “Box #2 for Ms Harvey”. So, instead of turning up at our house with our lovely TV, they turned up with a piece of Ms Harney’s furniture, which should have instead been on a boat to Bangkok. I sure hope that our TV hasn’t suffered that fate!
Worst case scenario, it’s fully insured, so if it doesn’t turn up, then we’l be going TV shopping. But I love my TV, so I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that. Fingers crossed!

No TV!!! How cruel. At least the coffee machine showed up!
Yes, but you can’t connect a PS3 to a coffee machine. Apparently.
