Curse you, iPhone alarm!

Kristy and I were both absolutely shattered last night after a long day of doing mainly yard and housework. Little man was in bed by 6:45 PM, and by 8:45 PM we decided we’d take an early mark too. Kristy set an alarm for 10:15 PM so she could give Oscar his dreamfeed, and we both fell promptly asleep.

Unfortunately, I had forgotten that there’s a bug in the iPhone internal clock which causes the alarms to fail, so Kristy’s 10:15 PM alarm never went off! Instead, just after midnight, we heard a different kind of alarm – in the form of a very upset three-month old!

Suffice to say the midnight dreamfeed of Oscar was more like a nightmarefeed, and trying to keep him calm was no easy feat. I hope his screaming didn’t wake the neighbours!

The lesson in all of this is to use a different alarm, or at the very least a backup alarm. Mashable (et al) put up an article of 5 alternative iPhone alarms that work, but they failed to mention the best one of all – the Android alarm clock. Yeah! Think about it!

Anyway Mr Jobs – this is what Oscar thinks of your iPhone alarm clock:

Oscar raspberry

Clearly, unimpressed!

GREAT pic! Soo cute!

I had the same prob with my dreamfeed alarm. Been getting up at the same time for so long now that I woke up anyway!

It was a lucky shot, if I’m honest. He was just stretching and happened to poke his tongue out at the same time!
