We tried Oscar with solid food over the weekend. And on his “Beginner’s guide to eating” menu? Farex, courtesy of Aunty Meegs.
He definitely didn’t hate it, but as you can see here, he didn’t exactly love it either.
To be fair, he seemed to be spitting it out more because he wasn’t entirely sure what he was supposed to be doing with it. After all – having a spoon in his mouth, chewing, and swallowing are all new concepts for him! But as we persisted (and with the helpful addition of a comical bib with a tie on it), he seemed to take a bit more of it in.
It certainly hasn’t lept to the number one position for the preferred way of feeding, but I suspect it’s at least a step in the right direction.

The second photo is a classic. Definitely one for his 18th or 21st.
My M was OK with farex for the first time, but then wouldn’t go near it for the rest of week.
I got very determined at the end of the week, and we sat down with pureed pumpkin. She ate it all up.
Won’t willingly touch pumpkin now, though. *shrug*
Love the “Not Loving It” photo… gold!
yep, another hilarious photo of the little man!!
