All clear!

As mentioned, I visited our doctor on Wednesday to find out the results of my MRI. Although I’m now on record for saying that I appreciate the candidness of our doctor, it did not work in my favour when she opened the door with a rather worried look on her face. That look that effectively says, “I have bad news for you, and I haven’t yet decided how I should break it”.

Thankfully, all my worry was for nothing; perhaps I misread her expression, or perhaps she was simply worried about what she was going to have for lunch. Either way, as soon as I sat down, she reported that the MRI was all clear, and there was absolutely nothing to be concerned about. Phew!

Of course, it goes without saying that this is wonderful news, but it does leave the question of, “Why do I get migraines?” wide open. My sneaking suspicion is that it’s related to tense muscles in my neck, and the next time I feel one coming, I’m going to book in somewhere for a remedial massage to see if that eases the pain. And even if it doesn’t – who is going to say no to a massage?

A huge thanks to all the comments and e-mails from everyone wishing me luck for my MRI result – your care is greatly appreciated; I was genuinely touched!
