An elaborate party was held at Morayfield last night, to celebrate the engagement of Micah Wicham and Rachael Elms, known affectionatly to their friends as “Mikey and Rachey”.
“Hey I just can’t believe how far Micah has come”, was the comment from one guest. “I mean, I knew Micah right back when he was like, just a kid. Me and him used to throw water balloons at cars and stuff, and our parents were all like, “Hey man, cut it out” and stuff, you know, stuff like that. Yeah, it was funny – damn funny! Hey man, can you get me a beer?”
The festivities continued into the evening, with the gracious hosts serving a magnificent BBQ dinner, with enough salads and sides to put the local Sizzler out of business.
Another guest was heard to remark, “These sausages are absolutely awesome! I’ll bet Rachey rolled them herself, because you can really taste the love. Mikey sure is a lucky guy!”
After the amazing cake was cut, Micah inspired the guests with a well polished speech. Then, to top it all off, an array of desserts was served, including pavlova, ginger-nut caramel buscuits, and of course, the divine mud cake.
“Can you believe this pavlova?” asked a pavlovaholic. “It’s just awesome! Hey, hunny, can you eat my kiwi-fruit?”
Excellent beer, plus mouth-watering food and brilliant company, equals an evening to rival any other. Congratulations again to Mikey and Rachey!
